This project was a Group Project where we were tasked with creating an interactive live exhibition to raise awareness for Kauri dieback in New Zealand. We were able to work with the Auckland council, the Ellen Melville Centre, and a group of various activists to put together this final exhibition.
from concept
to execution
Here you can see the process of building and prototyping with scaled down models and sketches then to implementing those prototypes in the final exhibitions.
In ideation and brainstorming we refrained from limitations and experimented with as many mediums as possible for the exhibitions execution including Augmented reality, Virtual reality, Creating physical interactions using arduino’s and much more. And although not everything we experimented with was included in the final exhibition, the ambitiousness of our group resulted in a very interactive and multidisciplinary exhibition.
In the end the exhibition was more successful that we could have imagined. We had multiple articles written on the exhibition and interviews with news channels and received the silver Nga Aho Best Award
